The Houston Astros have agreed to a five-year, $85 million deal with Lance McCullers, Jr., according to sources.

After missing a season following Tommy John surgery, McCullers had a solid 2020 campaign. He went 3-3 with a 3.93 ERA and 56 strikeouts in 11 starts.

The extension will kick in next season. McCullers and Houston had previously agreed to a one-year, $6.5 million contract for 2021 to avoid arbitration.

Right-hander Jake Odorizzi and the Houston Astros have agreed to a two-year deal with a player option, a source familiar with the deal told ESPN's Jeff Passan on Saturday.

Left-handed reliever Jose Alvarez signed a $1.15 million, one-year contract with the San Francisco Giants on Saturday.

The 31-year-old will look to build off momentum he had with the Phillies last season when he posted a 1.42 ERA over eight outings. He was struck by a 105 mph line drive in the groin area Aug. 20 against Toronto and didn't pitch for the rest of the year.

The Milwaukee Brewers will sign Jackie Bradley, Jr. to a two-year, $24 million deal, according to a source.

The deal includes an opt-out after the first year.

Bradley has spent all eight of his Major League seasons with the Boston Red Sox, who drafted him 40th overall in 2011.

The outfielder hit .283 with seven home runs, 22 RBIs, five stolen bases, an .814 OPS and a career-low K rate (22.1%) in 55 games in 2020.
